1.      Taxi Lights – After an aircraft leaves the gate, an initial challenge faced by pilots is navigating the plane to the runways for takeoff. Both day and night, the airport light signals make it easy to navigate around the maze of taxiways.

4.      Taxiway signs – Although not an airport light signal, taxiway signs are well illuminated and easy to see. Yellow and black signs identify taxiways. Usually, they can be seen in a black background with yellow characters and yellow background with black characters.
