Aviation lights are basically separated into low intensity, medium intensity and high intensity. The vertical and horizontal distances of aviation lights are greater than 45 meters for buildings and their services, and the three types of obstruction marker lights can be utilized in conjunction with each other.

Below 45 meters above the ground, low-intensity aviation obstruction lights should be set up in open surroundings, which are always bright red.

Obstacles should mark the highest point and the extreme border of the obstacle. The distance between the middle layer must be not more than 45 meters, and the city height should be more than 100 meters. Particular deliberation should be given to adding aviation obstruction lights to the middle floors of buildings.

For buildings and their services above 150 meters from the ground, you should use high-intensity obstacle signs and that must be white flashing lights. The blaze frequency should be between 20-70 times per minute. The efficient light intensity depends on the brightness of the background. It works for 24 hour a day.

The obstruction light indicator can be located 4-6 meters below the chimney mouth. Ultra-high objects higher than 150 meters should be used in union with medium and high-intensity aviation obstruction lights. For high-voltage power transmission cables and towers less than 150 meters high, a white light-emitting medium-intensity aviation light can be installed on the top.

The number and arrangement of the aviation obstruction lights at variant heights should be able to see the object or the “group outline” of the object from all aspects, and consider the concurrent and sequential flashing of the obstruction lights to achieve Obvious warning effect.

The Low intensity obstruction light is steady light, red, and the peak light is stronger than 32.5cd. Normally it is not utilize alone, but must be utilized in combination with medium-intensity and high-intensity obstruction lights.

The Medium intensity obstruction lights are parted into three types according to luminous requirements.

A  type obstruction light-It is a white flash with an efficient light intensity of 20000cd-2000cd.

 B type obstruction light-This B type  light is a red flash, it has 2000cd light intensity.

C-type aviation obstruction light is red stable light, with effective light intensity 2000cd.

High intensity A type obstruction lamp which is a white flash with variable intensity at day.

The high-intensity B-type obstruction lamp is a white flash, and it lights simultaneously at three levels of changeable light intensity at day, dusk and night.
